The lamb here is to die for! Hands down, the best lamb in Michigan. The Lamb Fahsaah is a must have. Super soft meat and delicious curry (just like back home!) The bread compliments it really well. Always a treat to dine here!

Great food with a great staff that make customers feel like Kings. The bread is what makes this place different. It is prepared exactly like what you would find in the middle East which other restaurants in Detroit don't do. We went for the lamb and beef dish which did not disappoint. The rice is prepared in different as one was more of a tomato flavour and the other way regular. This place is open until 1 AM and they do not mess around with that. I went there around 12:30 AM and they were treating me like it was the start of the shift.

The food and tea are great. I Always leave with lots of food as portions are large. One of the best in town

Wow!I thought Dearborn was the place to get great Middle Eastern food but Hamtramck is where it's at.It's definitely a no-frills type of place but the food is so flavorful and the portions are huge. I ate off of our meals for 2 days afterwards.I'll definitely visit here again, to try other things on the menu. The prices are average to low. And the spice is generous. (but not too much)

Yemen Cafe, food is awesome no doubt. Price and quantity good too. I believe, they serve fresh food that's what their food taste like. Don't forget to try their free tea 😉. Service is good too. Most of the time you can get parking on the street. However, on weekend it's little difficult to get a parking. There is a park right next to the Yemen cafe. If you have children. You should go over there after meals. Your children would love it for sure. Over all, I love the place and I go over there very often with my family.

One of the best authentic Yemeni food in town, this does include the loud men voice you hear in the background - all in Arabic language by the way. I guess that is what gives it even more authentic holiday vibes.The atomspehere however and the settings will need some updating, bearing in mind most of us travel for over 1hr just to eat their food. This nonetheless is not a couple cute romantic restaurant. Ladies if you are all dressed up insist he takes somewhere else. The bread is hot and crispy, just delicious when served with sizzling fahsa dish as a meaty and hearty winter dish - but can be eaten all year round. The rice dishes are just as good. The only reason this place has only 4 stars out 5 I would say, it is because bread crumbs and tables at sticky... then again it is giving it that authentic vibe too? Sticky tables, bread crumbs everywhere and not so pretty background should all be addressed. P.s. it is still the best Yemeni food in town!!

Best Yemeni food I ever had in my life especially the fish I had yesterday it was very good else make sure you try their lamb with rice

Wow. Huge amounts of delicious food for low prices...it’s amazing. Totally recommend. Fast service. I don’t know how I didn’t find this place earlier. Having never eaten food from Yemen before, my friend had tons of questions. The waiter was super helpful and answered everything. He suggested the most popular dishes and even what to get in them. He made an inexperienced eater feel at home. When the food arrived, it was REALLY hot. Highly recommend!!!!!!

These guys are really awesome. I have tasted Yemeni dishes back in Najran, Saudi Arabia. I can say they have maintained their authenticity in their dishes and hospitality. So helpful 😊 and ever smiling the staff there. 5/5 from my family. I liked all their dishes including the hot and hot qubuz!!!!

Good food...good service... The best hot ice...very fair prices ... Of you in the area stop by if not in the area you have to try this place for some good food it is also a park next door where you can take your food there to eat.

Atmosphere was awesome and the service was great. We ordered the Fahsah with the Gallabah and they were delicious! Shout out to Ashraf for being a great waiter. Dont take my word for it, visit the restaurant. I Highly recommend.

Have always had delicious food, but when we picked it up there were several people waiting inside (2 without masks) and none of the staff were wearing masks either. Definitely wouldn’t recommend during this time.

SO GOOD. What a gem!Such great, home cooked tasting, delicious food! So many fresh vegetables, super tender meat, and perfect seasoning. Free, self-serve tea was nice as well as the $1 bread, but the quality of food was mind blowing considering the price. So thankful to have discovered this place! Special thanks to Dulla for great service and fantastic recommendations. The lamb agaddah was pretty life changing and my husband really enjoyed the lamb fahsaah and the beef gallaba on hummus. We’ll be back!

Get middle eastern food over here, it’s crowded during peak hours and this place is good but sometimes you need to watch out for wrong item served instead of chicken you get beef. I have visited this place more then 4 times one time server messed up and delivered beef. Hope they train there people well. I love the tea which they sell and bread stomach filling, chicken gallabha , lamb also very good mouth watering.

Nothing but great things to say. A destination I'll drive the 45 minutes to get to again.The breads, the lamb dishes, the bubbling side dishes, the toum (garlic spread), the smoothness of the hummus.... The friendliness or the people... So good.

The food is delicious, the coffees are refreshing, the service is fast and the prices are cheap!

Came here with some friends. Tea was unlimited self-serve. Don't know the name of the tea but it was so delicious and did not need sugar. Food was good and in large portions. Had a great time and will come back again!

The food is great. It is truly authentic food. If you are trying to get your prince or princess on go elsewhere. If you truly want good simple honest food...this us your place.

The lamb haneeth was DELICIOUS. The lamb literally fell off the bone. It was soooooo tender and delicious! 🤤

First time here and the whole family was impressed. Fahsa was the best then the Small cut meat mix with veggies. The Haneeth was bland but very tender. The Shafoot (yogurt pasta) was really good but very spicy hot.

Great food, and great service. I have been there a few times and all my experience s have been great. But keep in mind the food can be messy to eat so try not to make a mess besides from that great place.

Food here always tastes great. I typically buy 4-5 boxes of gallabas for my family. The last several times I’ve ordered, I’ve noticed less and less meat. Today, there was maybe one serving spoon’s worth of meat in all four of my boxes. I spent $50 on today’s order. I’m largely disappointed. The time before this, I placed a phone order and was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes when I got to the restaurant because the guy didn’t put my order in. I didn’t expect this type of stinginess from Yemen Café but I’m keeping this review at a 2. I won’t be eating here anymore.I advise anyone who does order from here in the future to open your boxes and check the meat to rice ratio. It’s so obvious as soon as you look at the box that there is a huge difference.

So authentic, I was the only white guy in the place. Massive amounts of perfectly seasoned food, in a homey diner setting. Can't go wrong with gallaba and Yemeni bread.

It is best place in Hamtramck! The food is soo good and price are reasonable. I go there regularly and they make good tea and salad. The naan or bread are really good.

The food was always amazing EXCEPT i always had a suspicion That it wasn’t always the cleanest. When they finally opened up from the pandemic nobody in the kitchen or staff was practicing Covid safety. Nobody in there is wearing masks it’s disgusting. Dirty Dirty city.

Had a great time here a while back. Yemen Cafe came recommended by a former Detroit resident who knows his stuff. Friendly, clean, cheap and the bread is practically free. Large portions. I felt I more than got my money's worth and would happily return. Five stars because we need more places like Yemen Cafe.

Excellent customer service. Food temperature was awesome. Taste like home made food... Very tasty. I had Yemeni tea which needs little improvement in taste. Rest of the food was great. Will definitely recommend. Try Ground Beef ... It tasted pretty good.

Been a loyal customer for years and I have never had a bad meal here. Flavours are on point. Prices are beyond reasonable. Don't forget to try the tea if you have never been here before!

Placed a to go, arrived when they said it would be ready. The food was never started, and we had to restart as if I never ordered. Of course 30 minutes later out comes the food. easily the driest stringy chicken I've had since elementary lunch. The fattoush salad was full of rusty dead lettuce and maybe had a tsp. Of dressing on it. Tonight sucked, that is all. Thank you

Hands down the best food. There is no other place comparable in flavor.

Neighbourhood spot. The lamb stew was excellent and the bread is a buck. Service is prompt and efficient. We also ordered a chicken and rice dish and I'm not sure what we received but, we liked it. House salads are excellent. Authentic and worth the trip.

Friendly faces, clean and nice restaurants did you catering and their fahsah Just became my favorite meal after devouring it today! Absolutely delicious!!!
